Paediatric First Aid

Medicore’s Paediatric First Aid course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond to medical emergencies involving infants and young children.

The programme focuses on recognising illness or injury, delivering appropriate first aid treatment, and understanding what to monitor while awaiting emergency services. It is suitable for anyone responsible for the safety and wellbeing of children in a home or professional setting.

Requirements

  • There are no formal prerequisites for this course.
  • Participants must be physically able to perform chest compressions on a manikin while kneeling.
  • Students should have sufficient English language proficiency to participate fully in instruction and assessment.

Method of delivery

The course is delivered by a Medicore Medical Services instructor using a structured and interactive approach that includes:

  • Instructor-led presentations
  • Video-based learning
  • Practical skills stations
  • Scenario-based exercises
  • Group discussion

Renewal

Certification is valid for two years. To maintain qualification, participants must complete the full course again prior to expiry. There is no shortened refresher programme for in-date certificates.
